Poop happens...

I didn't realize I haven't posted since Sunday! Where does the time go?!


These are some cute baby gifts I stitched:
These were for a baby shower that I went to last weekend (I didn't want to post them before the shower because I was afraid it would give way the surprise).

There's a funny story that goes along with the baby shower...Lily and I were about 10 minutes early (that never happens) and I wasn't completely sure we were at the right house...no other cars there yet, couldn't find a house #, etc. So, I get Lily out, get the diaper bag, the gift bag...we're ready to go. As I'm walking up to the front door I think wow, her diaper feels really full and we just left the house about 20 minutes ago. Hmm, I guess she peed a lot on the drive over. If only. As I'm standing at the front door and I've rung the doorbell a couple times, I look down to see poop dripping on the front porch. Yes, folks, poop is dripping onto their front porch. I set the gift bag on the porch and it has poop on it. I can't go inside and drip poop through the house so it's back to the car for a diaper and wardrobe change. No problem, I've packed an extra dress for Lil' just in case this happens, but it dawns on me as I'm walking back to the car that the poop has to be on me too. Great, I didn't pack an extra dress for me. I change her in the car and we have successfully gotten poop everywhere we possibly can. I'm thankful I have leather seats. Next surprise, I cannot find any little trash bags in the diaper bag. I used the last one and never re-filled I'm an idiot. I find another changing mat in the car, throw that on the floor and pile the diaper and many, many wipes on that mat. I'll just clean it later. I use a few more wipes trying to wipe the poop off of my dress...it's not really working. At this point, I just want to go home and we haven't even made it inside. We did go inside and the first thing I do is head to the bathroom to wash my hands and take a breather in the air conditioning. OK, feeling a little better. The shower was really nice and I'm glad we went, even with all of the poop involved :)
