I know how you feel, Oscar

I'm a grouch. 1 week with a sick baby and a husband that works non-stop and I've officially turned into a grouch. I'm trying to have a happy heart, but it's hard!

Monday: Wake up at 5:30am and discover that Lily has 104 fever.
5:32 freak out and call my mom who tells me to strip her down, put her in the tub with a sippy of cold juice.
6:00 fever is down to 104...we can wait until the doctor's office opens instead of heading to ER
9:00 leave doctor's office...she has a flu-like virus, ear infection, eye infection and is generally crummy

Tuesday: Wake up feeling like I've been hit by a truck. Worst night of sleep ever (I think...
but I can't be too sure....I've had quite a few sleepless nights in Lily's short existence). Our day pretty much follows suit.

Wednesday: Fever is finally down-yay! Today we fluctuate between 98 and 100. Diarrhea has set in. Rash over her entire body. Call nurse on call at night because I'm starting to really freak out about the rash...she says it's OK, her body is just fighting off the virus

Thursday: I'm completely worn out from sleepless nights, diarrhea cleanings, irritability (hers
and mine), anxiety and worrying...thank goodness Nick came home at a decent time tonight :) He was able to play with her for about 30 minutes before she went to bed!

I hope tomorrow I can say I feel so rested and rejuvenated because Lily is feeling so much better...I'm focusing my positive thoughts and saying my prayers.
